Operation Back Home is a project to help with the rebuilding of New Orleans from the neighborhood out. The purpose is to link mission minded churches from all over the United States with people in need “in the neighborhoods”.
The process of getting people back into their homes has become a monumental task. The elderly, disabled, single mothers, sick, and shut-in members have suffered the most. Many don’t have enough insurance or none at all. The cost of goods and services has almost doubled in the area.
Franklin Avenue has begun Operation Back Home, offering FREE assistance in the form of minor home repairs by installing sheet rock and flooring, painting, doing trim carpentry, landscaping, etc. Our plea is to all mission groups around the country desiring to bring groups in to be a part of this mission of love.
Join us in bringing the people of New Orleans back home.
1. Volunteer as an individual or as a team to help rebuild houses. We need sheetrock installers, plumbers, carpenters, painters, roofers, flooring installers, and landscapers.
2. Donate money for purchasing building materials. Please make checks payable to FABC. “Operation Back Home” must be written on the check for the donation to be used for building materials.
