The founder and president of Connections is
Clayton Hays. He started Connections because
of his deep desire to see more people in New
Orleans and Baton Rouge experience a
life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ and
to see them live fruitful lives. Inner city ministry
to young people and families, outreach to
teenagers, discipleship of businessmen, and
seeing the body of Christ become more active
in all forms of evangelism are areas of ministry
that are especially important to Clayton.
His educational and ministry background is as follows:
Education:
B.S. in Business Administration, Louisiana State University, 1976
Th.M. , Dallas Theological Seminary, 1989
Ministry Experience:
- 8 years on the staff of Campus Crusade for Christ on university campuses
- 3 years as the pastor of Christ Community Church in Atlanta, GA
- 4 years on the staff of Young Life serving as a fund raiser and starting new ministries
